Implant Malposition

Problems with implant malposition are one of the most common reasons for a revision. With this type of problem, the issue is usually apparent as soon as the tissue has finished healing from the augmentation. Placement problems can includes situations such bottoming out, in which the implants end up too low in relation to the position of the nipples, or synmastia, which refers to implants that are much too close together, usually as a result of over-dissection in an attempt to create more cleavage.
