I was more than a little frightened when I was diagnosed with invasive ductile carcinoma, or cancer of the milk duct. The cancer was only in my right breast but I immediately decided that I would have a total mastectomy. After a strong recommendation from my oncologist, I went to see Dr. Schwartz. He showed me a video that gave me a better idea of what was happening to me and what my options were. It was the first time I realized I had other choices. Dr. Schwartz was so down to earth and personable. He made me feel comfortable and let me ask as many questions as I wanted. I never felt rushed. I did plenty of my own research, as well, and brought him my thoughts and concerns about different types and sizes of implants. He went out of his way to take the time to describe for me all the pros and cons of each of the implants – and why. I was confident that I was in the right hands.
