TESTIMONIALS

I was more than a little frightened when I was diagnosed with invasive ductile carcinoma, or cancer of the milk duct. The cancer was only in my right breast but I immediately decided that I would have a total mastectomy. After a strong recommendation from my oncologist, I went to see Dr. Schwartz. He showed me a video that gave me a better idea of what was happening to me and what my options were. It was the first time I realized I had other choices. Dr. Schwartz was so down to earth and personable. He made me feel comfortable and let me ask as many questions as I wanted. I never felt rushed. I did plenty of my own research, as well, and brought him my thoughts and concerns about different types and sizes of implants. He went out of his way to take the time to describe for me all the pros and cons of each of the implants – and why. I was confident that I was in the right hands.

My husband was impressed with Dr. Schwartz, too. We have a humorous marriage and we liked to make the staff laugh. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Schwartz had to draw on me with a marker. My husband said, ‘It looks like you’re drawing Garfield.’ Picking up on our desire for levity, Dr. Schwartz drew his best Garfield the Cat on my chest. He immediately put me at ease because he was happy to go along with us – even though we were being silly. I felt really good going into surgery.

Dr. Schwartz was more than serious about my care, though. When I had an adverse reaction to the post-op medication just as I was about to be discharged, he came to my aid and made sure they kept my there until I was feeling better. My husband and I felt good about that. In fact, I felt so good about the comprehensive care I received from Dr. Schwartz that after our insurance changed I spent months battling my medical group until they agreed to let me continue seeing him. Also, Dr. Schwartz was feeling bad that his Whittier patients had to follow him all the way out to the new office in Beverly Hills, so he opened a satellite office to accommodate us. Now THAT speaks volumes about how much he cares for his patients.

Breast Reconstruction with tissue expanders and implants (two stage breast reconstruction)

I am so grateful for Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz, MD, FACS. He cares deeply for his patients and his level of expertise is truly remarkable. My previous surgeon had botched my breast reconstruction and it was going to be difficult to fix. An exhaustive search on the internet led me to Dr. Schwartz. And what a difference. He paid me extra attention, taking the time to explain everything in detail and I feel like he went to extra effort to solve my specific problem. For the first time in years I feel normal! It’s like a miracle. I will always come to Dr. Schwartz for his exceptional work, and his keen eye for detail and beauty.

Dr Schwartz and his staff are so special. They are true professionals. This is a doctor who dots every “i” and crosses every “t”. I would highly recommend Dr. Schwartz to anyone looking for an exceptional result.

Breast Reconstruction Revision

I am a 35-year-old female from Houston, Texas and had undergone about 20 breast reconstruction surgeries before finding Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz, MD, FACS. My journey started back in November of 2010 when my breast lift surgery went wrong. Half of the tissue in my left breast was lost leaving me severely deformed. I continued to undergo surgeries to fix the problems with implants but no doctor could ever get it right. None of the surgeons in Texas seemed up to the task.

Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz came highly recommended. We did a Skype call together and when he explained how he would handle my case, I felt like I had finally found a doctor who was listening to me and understanding my needs. It was clear to me that he stays up to date on all the newest technology and techniques. His wonderful staff helped me through the pre-op phase with everything from booking my appointments to suggesting where to stay. His team made me feel like a top priority in his office – even after my surgery.

Dr. Schwartz was delightful to meet in person and was truly professional. In the prep room just before surgery my nerves were on edge but he put me at ease. He was up front with me that my reconstruction would be difficult and that we may have to do yet another surgery.

I am three weeks post-surgery now and my breasts look better than they have in years. Dr. Schwartz is definitely the best doctor in his field. I can’t thank Dr. Schwartz and his staff enough for all of the support they have offered me throughout this process.

Restorative Breast Surgery

Breast Reconstruction with tissue expanders and implants (two stage breast reconstruction)

Growing up in Sydney, Australia, I suffered from a condition known as gynocomastia (enlarged male breasts) and had long been embarrassed about my body. From the time I was 12, I felt like I had to hide my chest from others. It was hard not going to the beach or swimming in a pool for half my life.

At 30, I decided it was time to take action, so I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Schwartz. He was empathetic – but not to the point of making me feel like I was a freak. He made me realize that, yes, this was something he could fix. Breasts are his specialty, so I was confident that I was going to get the results I had hoped for, and the way Dr. Schwartz conducted himself made me instantly feel trust there.

I am so happy I listened to my instincts. My bi-lateral breast reduction was handled with incredible skill and professionalism, and I felt a real bond with Dr. Schwartz. He was so relatable. Even though this was a serious procedure, he was light hearted with me. It felt like I was talking with a friend. Dr. Schwartz assured me after the surgery that this was not the end of my care. He told me to come back and see him any time because he would always be there for me. I’d never heard that from a doctor before.

Something that had been such a dark cloud over my head for most of my life was treated as completely fixable. Throughout the entire experience, Dr. Schwartz made me feel like everything was going to be alright – and it is.
